چکیده
The study of non-equilibrium thermal convection in an anisotropic porous layer saturated with a visco-elastic fluid is carried out to find how the anisotropy and temperature affect onset convection. small perturbation method applied obtain linearized form equations are then solved by using normal mode technique. viscoelasticity considered taking Oldrovd-B momentum equation two separate expressions used for energy equation, these one represents solid anther medium. effect both on oscillatory stationary modes has been studied. Apart from conductivity ratio, diffusivity Darcy Prandtl number also observed presented graphically. stability system protected ratio. But mechanical ratio destabilizing mode.

The Onset of Double Diffusive Convection in a Viscoelastic Fluid-Saturated Porous Layer with Non-Equilibrium Model
The onset of double diffusive convection in a viscoelastic fluid-saturated porous layer is studied when the fluid and solid phase are not in local thermal equilibrium. The modified Darcy model is used for the momentum equation and a two-field model is used for energy equation each representing the fluid and solid phases separately. The effect of thermal non-equilibrium on the onset of double di...

متن کاملThe Onset of Double Diffusive Convection in a Binary Viscoelastic Fluid Saturated Porous Layer with Soret Effect
The onset of double diffusive convection in a binary viscoelastic fluid saturated porous layer, which is heated and salted from below in the presence of Soret effect is studied using both linear and nonlinear stability analyses. The linear theory is being related to the normal mode method. The modified Darcy law for the viscoelastic fluid of the Oldroyd type is used to model the momentum equati...
متن کاملThe Density-Driven Nanofluid Convection in an Anisotropic Porous Medium Layer with Rotation and Variable Gravity Field: A Numerical Investigation
In this study, a numerical examination of the significance of rotation and changeable gravitational field on the start of nanofluid convective movement in an anisotropic porous medium layer is shown. A model that accounts for the impact of Brownian diffusion and thermophoresis is used for nanofluid, while Darcy’s law is taken for the porous medium. The porous layer is subjected to uniform rotat...
متن کاملMarangoni Convection in a Fluid Saturated Porous Layer with a Deformable Free Surface Nor
The stability analysis of Marangoni convection in porous media with a deformable upper free surface is investigated. The linear stability theory and the normal mode analysis are applied and the resulting eigenvalue problem is solved exactly. The Darcy law and the Brinkman model are used to describe the flow in the porous medium heated from below. The effect of the Crispation number, Bond number...
